In 2001, Refratechnik took over a plant in Bendorf for the production of high-quality refractory materials.
Since then, the plant has been modernised continuously. In 2006 the new Management and Research & Development building was opened which on the one hand is the base for new developments and innovations in the field of unshaped products and on the other hand provides the centre for training courses and workshops such as e.g. the „refractory study group“.

At Bendorf, unshaped high-quality products for steelworks, smelters, the aluminium, non-ferrous metal, environmental, energy and chemical industries are manufactured with an annual capacity of
30 000 tonnes.
