Confirmation for the outstanding innovative power of the entire Group: Refratechnik wins a Top Innovator award
Rethink the old, and accept the new: We see change as an opportunity. This approach convinced the jury of the TOP 100 Contest, which was carried out for the 27th time. Refratechnik can now officially use the "TOP 100 Innovator 2020" seal of approval.
In a tough assessment procedure, our Group even passed with distinction in the "Successful innovations" category.
Nikolaus Franke, Professor at the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration: "As one of the TOP 100 in 2020, the Refratechnik Group belongs to the most innovative medium-sized enterprises (MSEs) in Germany. Therefore, I would like to express my special appreciation for this success. It comes at a time in which innovativeness is more important than ever before."
With numerous innovative products, concepts, and services in the field of refractory technology, we have advanced to the position of a world leader. Many of the associated ideas originated in our own R&D departments, with their emphasis on scientific and technical subjects, while partnerships with universities provide additional inputs. Apart from providing own ideas, our interdisciplinary and practice-proven sales team with its focus on technology, informs us about customer requirements, and plays an active role in the innovative process.
Thanks to our "continuous improvement" approach, all departments and employees contribute to the special innovative drive and further development of the entire Group by creating or picking up new ideas, implementing them, and providing the necessary structures to establish a lasting and positive innovative atmosphere.
The TOP 100 Contest
Since1993, "compamedia" has been awarding the TOP 100 quality seal to MSEs with special innovative capabilities and above-average success rates with innovations. Prof. Nikolaus Frank, founder and director of the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, has coordinated the project since 2002: The TOP 100 companies are supervised by scientific journalist Ranga Yogeshwar, and are organized in partnership with the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft for the promotion of applied research, and the Bundesverband mittelständische Wirtschaft (BVMW = German Association of SMEs). Media support for this company benchmarking contest is provided by manager magazin, impulse, and W&V.
