    The principles of lime calcination have been known for thousands of years. The only things that have changed are the technical perfection and efficiency of the furnaces. Hereby, fuels are a decisive cost factor for the lime industry. For economic reasons, continuous investments are therefore being made in modern energy-saving technologies, which also have positive effects on the environment. Intelligent refractory technology plays an important role in the efforts to reduce energy consumption and to ensure efficient and environmentally compatible production.
